I flew my cousin's Navion (Doug Johnston in El Centro) and fell in love with the airplane. I own a Cessna 172 and decided that I really wanted a Navion, preferably one from 1947-1949. It took a couple years, but I finally found one that worked for me. I love the plane and now I'm in the process of upgrading the instrument panel and restoring it as much as possible. They are a labor of love.

I was recently honored by Steven Speilberg and George Lucas as they wanted to use my plane for the new Indiana Jones movie that they filmed here in Fresno. They paid me to put the plane in their movie and I had a chance to meet Harrison Ford and some other very nice people. I think they did cut out my scene in favor of a T-6 Texan, but it was still fun to be part of the action.
