Teledyne Continental Motors (TCM). Manufacturer or engines. The Aviator Services section of the TCM Web site is probably most interesting for our community. Other interesting areas are the Engines section ... the (service) Bulletins & Manuals area ... this Specification Chart (PDF) is a table of high level specs for the various TCM engines. Also, the Visitor Services area of TCM's Web site contains interesting material, such as individual Engine Spec Sheets for most engines (an example: the TSIO-520-R engine spec sheet as a PDF file). TwinNavion.com. The Twin Navion is one of general aviation's most misunderstood light aircraft, stemming from the fact that three distinct versions of the conversion were marketed, each in relatively small numbers. Although the Navion has been an easily recognizable fixture on airports around the globe since 1946, few people are familiar with any of the conversions offered to turn the Navion into the world's first post-war light twin. There's even a disagreement about how to pronounce the Navion name. This website is our attempt at dispelling rumors, correcting misconseptions and drawing attention to the fantastic Twin Navion.

Type Certificate Data Sheets. These can be found on the FAA's Flight Standards Av-Info Web site, listed above, by selecting "Aircraft" in the left navigation bar and then selecting Type Certificate Data Sheets in the resulting Table of Contents. The TCDS covering most Navion models is A-782.

From the FAA's Web site: "The Type Certificate Data Sheets (TCDS) database is a repository of Make and Model information. The TCDS is a formal description of the aircraft, engine or propeller. It lists limitations and information required for type certification including airspeed limits, weight limits, thrust limitations, etc.

"TCDS documents are available from the initial implementation of this database (April 1999) forward. Historical documents prior to implementation are not necessarily included in this database; however, historical information will be retained as additional documents and revisions to documents are incorporated into the database.

"Revision History refers to those documents that have been revised through a TCDS revision. Current documents refer to those that are the most current. When looking at the TCDS and Model information in any of the Revision History views, the checkmark indicates the current documents."
